A small Family Law firm in Corporate Woods seeks an executive legal assistant with 3-5 years of experience, preferably in Family Law, but will consider other solid legal assistant experience. While benefits are limited, appropriate salary and scheduling flexibility are offered.
Executive Legal Assistant Duties:
Outlook and paper calendar management
QuickBooks entry for deposits and credit card payments
QuickBooks check writing
Categorize, pay and enter into QuickBooks monthly credit card billings
Paying bills
Tabs 3 time entry, payment entry, expenses entry
Keep trust account notebook updated
Enter telephone credit card payments from clients
Bank deposits to checking and trust account
Draft correspondence letters
Draft family law pleadings including, new case filings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, settlement agreements, decrees, domestic relations affidavits, etc.
Keep case management spreadsheet updated on a monthly basis
Assist and manage schedule of an AV rated attorney on a daily basis
Manage family law caseload consisting of individuals with significant net worth
Correspond with the courts on a frequent basis
Correspond with clients on a daily basis
Transcription from dictation
Create Excel marital net worth spreadsheets with supporting documentation
Extensive trial preparation
Order office supplies
Organize and analyze discovery responses
Summarize depositions
Organization of paper and electronic files
Legal research on Kansas Bar Association’s Case Net
Make copies, answer phones, greet clients
Coordinate appointments
Prepare child support worksheets
